If you give less than 48 hours advanced notice, then we charge you the full session fee. This is to ensure we maintain our much needed income. We are self-employed and if you don't pay, then we don't get paid!  As you can understand, this can threaten our financial stability.

We also wish to encourage you to plan ahead and take responsibility for the commitment. In very exceptional circumstances, the fee may be waived. However, this is at the discretion of the therapist.

Prior to the start of therapy, you will be asked to give your explicit consent to treatment. This includes your agreeing to pay for sessions that are not re-arranged with sufficient notice.

You can schedule a new appointment with your therapist. However, please be aware that repeated cancellations is likely to result in your therapy being ended.  After all, therapy only works if it is used.

What happens if I'm unexpectedly ill?

Give your therapist a ring and let them know you're too unwell to make it.  We understand.  Sometimes, we get ill too!  Your therapist may let you off the payment on the first occasion.  Plus, it's good to contain any germs rather than risk passing them on to other people.  This is advised if you are suffering with the flu, norovirus or any other symptoms of vomiting and diarrhoea.

Hopefully, these are rarities and you'll want to keep coming to your appointments.
